Kelly’s role involves co-ordinating all Family Support Services within Togher Family Centre.
Kelly O’Brien has been working at Togher Family Centre since 2019. She is the Family Services Co-ordinator at Togher Family Centre. Kelly has worked with a variety of organisations within Ireland to support families. She has extensive experience in family law and family support. Kelly currently supervises child contact for both Tusla and the family court, coordinates parenting programmes and acts as a Lead Practitioner for the Tusla’s Meitheal model. Kelly also co-ordinates Togher Family Centre’s Counselling Service.
BA Honours degree in Social Care Work (Level 8)

- Epilepsy training
- Accredited certificate in working with trauma and adverse childhood experiences from UCC.
- Domestic violence training
- Parents Plus
Kelly’s area of special interest is child development, in particular working with children who have experienced trauma. She has a vast interest in the theoretical approaches such as attachment theory and trauma informed care. These approaches guide the way in which Kelly supports the individuals she works with.
