Nessa Goulding is a Assistant Supervisor in Togher Family Centre. She studied at UCC and holds a Degree in Early Childhood Studies. She has also studied in the Implementation of High/Scope Education. She has worked at Togher Family Centre for 3 years. During her time at the Centre she has implemented an age appropriate curriculum guide for both preschool and crèche.
Nessa is very interested in curriculum development and aims to provide the best for the children in the Centre, through observations and reviews of the programmes in use. Nessa has taken part in Smart Start training, a programme designed to optimise child wellbeing through nutrition and health awareness. She has successfully introduced this programme into the daily routine of the preschool.
Nessa has particular interest in developing children’s emotional wellbeing through play and learning. Nessa has also completed Elklan training which promotes speech and language development in young children. She has taken part in Buntus training, a course designed to help increase and promote physical development and activity in young children. Nessa has completed training in Aistear and Silota also, along with Behavioural Management and Motivation training. She is also 1st Aid qualified and holds a certificate in manual handling. Nessa also has experience working with the Afterschool group.Nessa has also completed a training course in PECS ( Picture Exchange Communication Systems). In October 2018 Nessa did a three day First Aid Responder course
